Facebook pay also allows you to make use of Facebook messenger app to make payments for things like; fundraisers, in-game purchases, person to person payments, event tickets, and a few pages on Facebook Marketplace.

One advantage of sending and receiving money via the Facebook pay app is that it is stress-free.

Facebook pay can be done both on the messenger web and app. This means that you are not only restricted to using Facebook pay with only a mobile device.

How to Send Money with the Facebook Messenger

To send money via the Facebook pay app, follow the process below.

  1. Open your Facebook messenger, and start a conversation with whosoever you want to pay.
  2. Tap the dollar “$” icon.
  3. Enter the amount you wish to pay
  4. Tap “Next” and the money would be on its way to the receiver’s account

Note: if you can’t find the $ icon then make sure to contact Facebook customer care.

Also, the first time you make any payment, you would need to provide funding information.

Submitting this information is very easy while you go through the payment process. You can also alter the funding process by updating your payment settings.

During the transfer, you will either make use of your debit card number or your PayPal account.

How to Receive Money With Facebook Messenger

Receiving money via Facebook messenger is also easy and free.

When a friend sends you money via the Facebook messenger, you will be sent a notification by Facebook immediately.

Follow the steps below to create a free Facebook account.

  1. Go to www.facebook.com/r.php.
  2. Enter your name, email or mobile phone number, password, date of birth, and gender.
  3. Click Sign Up.
  4. To finish creating your account, check your email or phone inbox, depending on what you used to create the account, and enter confirm your new Facebook account.
