The short version: nothing gets published on Datevast until we’ve checked it against the live app, and anything that can change — a menu path, a price, a feature — gets verified against at least two current sources. If we get something wrong anyway, tell us and we’ll fix it fast.
How we verify our guides
Facebook, Messenger, and Instagram change constantly. Buttons move, features get renamed, and some quietly disappear. So we treat every claim in our guides as stale until proven fresh:
- Live-app checks. Steps and settings paths are walked through in the current version of the app before we publish or update a guide.
- Two-source rule. Anything changeable — availability, pricing, limits, “you can/can’t” claims — is cross-checked against at least two current, independent sources, starting with the platform’s own Help Center.
- Dead features get called out. When a feature is discontinued (like Messenger Lite), we say so plainly and point you to what works now, instead of republishing an outdated how-to.
- No guessing. If we can’t verify a fact, we either flag it (“as of Meta’s last public update…”) or leave it out.
How we review dating apps
Our reviews are for readers, not for the apps. For every service we review, we check current pricing and free-tier limits, who actually owns and operates it, its verification and safety features, and its reputation for fake profiles — including scam-tracker databases and real user reports. When a site shows serious red flags, we say “don’t spend your money here” in plain words.
Updates and corrections
Guides are re-checked and refreshed when platforms change, and the date on each post reflects its last real update — we don’t bump dates for show. If you spot an error, use the feedback link in the footer or our contact page; corrections are verified against live sources and fixed promptly.
Ads and independence
Datevast is supported by advertising. Ads never influence what we recommend, how we review an app, or whether we warn you away from one. If we ever add affiliate links, they’ll be clearly disclosed and will never change a verdict.
Who writes Datevast
